Image Resizer

Resize any photo to an exact width and height, keep the aspect ratio, or jump straight to platform sizes like Instagram 1080 x 1350. The image is resized in your browser and never uploaded, and one export downloads every size you picked.

Try these sizes in the resizer

What is an image resizer?

An image resizer changes the pixel dimensions of a picture: you give it a width and a height, and it redraws the image at that size. This page is an image size converter and resizer in one. Type exact pixels, keep the ratio lock on so faces keep their proportions, or choose a platform preset and export several sizes at once. Everything runs on your device, so the file never leaves your browser. Two honest limits: enlarging past the original size adds no detail (the AI upscaler handles that), and this tool resizes pixels, not file size in kilobytes.

Why resize here

Width and height inputs with the aspect ratio lock on

Exact width and height

Type the pixels you need. The aspect ratio lock keeps width and height in step, so people and products keep their proportions. Switch it off when you want a different shape.

Platform preset chips with several sizes selected

Every platform in one pass

Select Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, and more, then download every size in a single export. One photo in, a full set of channel-ready sizes out.

The same photo resized with fit padding and fill cropping side by side

Fit or fill, no stretching

Fit pads the empty space and keeps the whole photo. Fill crops the edges to hit the exact frame. Big reductions step down in halves, which keeps small text and fine lines crisp.

A resized image downloading straight from the browser

Stays in your browser

Resizing runs on your device, and the image is never uploaded. Keep working in one place: enlarge results with the upscaler, clean them up with the photo enhancer, or swap backgrounds on the same site.

How to resize an image

Four steps in your browser, no sign-up to start.

1

Upload

Drop in a PNG, JPEG, or WebP up to 20MB. It opens locally.

2

Set the size

Type a width and height with the ratio lock on, or tap a platform preset.

3

Choose fit and format

Fit pads the frame, fill crops it. Pick PNG, JPEG, or WebP and a quality level.

4

Export

Free on paid plans; otherwise one credit per export, no matter how many sizes. Each file downloads with its dimensions in the name.

Who sizes images daily

Store owners

One product photo becomes a square for Instagram, a 1200 x 627 post image for LinkedIn, and a 16:9 shot for the site, all exported together.

Social media managers

Same asset, every channel: stories, covers, and post images sized in one pass instead of one rerender per platform.

Creators

Thumbnails at 1280 x 720, or the TikTok video size of 1080 x 1920 for vertical clips. Need a brand-new cover design instead of a resize? The YouTube thumbnail maker builds one with AI.

Image resizer FAQs

Credits, formats, and what resizing can and cannot do.

Sign in and you get 9 free credits refreshed every day at 00:00 UTC; guests get 3 free credits a day. On paid plans, exporting is free and unlimited. Otherwise each export costs 1 credit whether you download one size or six, and every export is watermark-free.

Yes. Upload any of the three and export in any of them. PNG preserves transparency, which matters when you pad with transparent bars; JPEG and WebP give you a quality slider to balance clarity against file size.

Keep the lock on. It ties height to width at the original ratio, so a 4000 x 3000 photo resized to 1080 wide lands at 810 high. Turn the lock off when you want a different shape; that is the aspect ratio changer in action, and fill mode crops instead of stretching.

Shrinking is the safe direction. The resizer steps down in halves instead of one big squeeze, which keeps edges and text crisp. If your goal is to resize images without losing quality, downscale here; growing past the original is the direction that costs detail.

The browser will scale it up, but stretched pixels add no new detail, so the result looks soft. For a 2x or 4x enlargement that rebuilds detail, use the AI image upscaler instead.

They are the sizes platforms and major design guides recommend as of November 2026. Layouts change from time to time, so preview the placement before a big campaign.

Not on this page. The resizer changes pixel dimensions; the file size in KB only shifts as a side effect. Lowering JPEG or WebP quality is the quickest way to a smaller file, and a dedicated KB-target compressor may arrive later.
